AYRSHIRE will represent the west at the Scottish Women’s County Golf Championship finals at Dumfries in September.
They beat Lanarkshire 5 1/2 - 3 1/2 to clinch the west title at Kilmarnock Barassie last week.
Earlier in the three-day programme, Ayrshire beat Dunbartonshire and Argyll 7-2, and were 5-4 victors over defending divisional champions Renfrewshire, who went on to win the Scottish title last year.
Ayrshire took the foursomes 2-1 against Lanarkshire and the singles by 3 1/2 to 2 1/2.
Renfrewshire finished runners-up after a curious see-saw match against Dunbartonshire and Argyll.
They surprisingly made a 3-0 clean sweep of the singles but Renfrewshire turned the tables in the singles by winning all six for a 6-3 victory.
