Hurlford Thistle marched on in the West of Scotland Cup, after a tight contest with Harestanes.
The first effort on goal came after six minutes, the outstretched legs of a defender blocking Knapp’s drive.
With eleven minutes on the clock Hurlford went in front, Gilganon controlled a Phillipson header before playing in Caddis who outpaced the Harestanes defence to knock it home.
The home team tried to hit back firstly firing wide and then a header over the crossbar. With the half drawing to a close Harestanes fired over from a good position.
The last chance of the half fell to Hurlford, Gold found Quigley whose cross was headed wide by Robertson.
The second half got underway and a three man move involving Caddis, Robertson and Knapp ended with the latter having his shot blocked by the keeper.
Harestanes replied with a shot that went narrowly wide of Farrell’s goal. The last chance of the match fell to Caddis but the keeper saved at his feet.
It was an impressive win for Ford as they make their way into the next round.
