DARVEL Juniors have signed a new centre forward in a bid to strengthen their campaign in the new season
Ian Frazer, 28, will form a strike force with Davie Kirkland, and the club hopes this will be a key move, as the two strikers have teamed up before - when they played in the same side at Knockentiber AFC.
Frazer has also had spells with Dalry and Irvine Vics, as well as Clark Drive AFC.
Manager George Grierson said: “We’ve been monitoring Ian for some time, and he’ll give us more height up front, alongside Davie.”
The manager hopes to make another clutch of signings in the new few weeks to further bolster his squad.
It is believed he has his eye on three or four key targets, and is hopeful of getting most of them signed on the dotted line in plenty of time to start the season.
Club captain for 2009/10 is Davie Kirkland and vice-captain is Alan Sloss.
