DOWN and out Hurlford, who'll play in the Ayrshire league next season, took the lead 15 minutes before the break.
A Campbell McCluskey free kick sailed into the box and was met by Gavin Brown who put the ball in off the left-hand post.
Hurlford’s lead did not last long, however. Right on half- time, a corner kick wasn’t cleared, and Kilsyth equalised with a shot from six yards.
The home side scored in the very first minute after the break with a 35-yard wonder strike, but Hurlford fought back and sub David Bagan, on for the concussed Gavin Brown, scored after a nice move with Kevin Deeney.
Ten minutes from time the home side regained the lead after Marc Morrison was caught in possession, and as Hurlford went all out for an equaliser, Kilsyth took advantage on a another breakaway to double their lead.
Hurlford gaffer John Crawford says he’s going nowhere and is looking forward to doing all he can to restore the side back to the First Division next season.
Hurlford: Wilson, Fulton, McCluskey, Doolan, Nimmo, Donnelly, Deeney, Brown, Morrison, McGregor, Adams. Subs: Orr, Bagan.
