New West of Scotland Cup sponsor

THE West of Scotland Cup has a new sponsor after long-term backers Whyte & Mackay ended their association with the competition last season.

Glasgow-based New Coin Automatics, market leaders in the supply and servicing of amusement and gaming machines, have agreed to provide a welcome financial shot in the arm for the prestigious trophy over the next three years.

NCA’s Managing Director is well-known Pollok Past President Jimmy Gilligan, and West Region officials were cock-a-hoop at having him on board.

"We are delighted to enter into this sponsorship which hopefully is the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship,” said West Region Secretary Scott Robertson.

“It obviously helps that Jimmy is a dyed-in-the- wool Junior man, as well as a successful businessman, because he is more aware than most of the benefits likely to be derived from being associated with the West of Scotland Cup.

“We are indebted to him for his valued backing and look forward to working with New Coin Automatics."
