HYPOTHETICAL and speculative were the words used by Killie FC boss Jim Jefferies this week after daily newspaper reports linking him with a return to Falkirk following the appointment of John Hughes as the new Hibs boss.
“I don’t know anything about that,” said the gaffer, “and my position is and always has been that I don’t comment on what’s happening at other clubs.
“I don’t wake up in the morning thinking about what’s going on elsewhere. I just get on with life at Kilmarnock until someone says different.
“In the past I have been linked with jobs with Scotland and Dundee United, but that’s part and parcel of the game.
“It’s very flattering to know that other clubs are interested, but I never comment on anything like that.
“It’s a great move for Yogi (Hughes) because he’s a lad from Leith and a Hibs fan.
“I wish him all the best in his new post – except when he’s playing against Kilmarnock!”
