KILLIE fans will get to see their team’s strip for next season at the Inverness Caledonian Thistle game this Saturday.
And the Kilmarnock Standard was given an exclusive preview of the cool kit just hours before we went to press this week.
The Kilmarnock Standard’s Ayrshire Supermodel 2008 winner Nicola Mitchell – from Troon – joined crocked Killie stars Danny Invincibile and Allan Russell to model the kit at Rugby Park on Tuesday.
The strip is once again being manufactured by the club’s own 1869 brand, as Killie continue to celebrate its 140th anniversary.
Club chairman Michael Johnston said: “We are again delighted with the quality of design and manufacture of the strip and the ongoing benefits of dealing direct with the factory.
“Killie fans can celebrate the club's 140th anniversary in style with this fantastic new strip.”
The new strip features the traditional blue and white stripe, but this time it is complemented by high visibility gold piping, panels and cuffs. The collar has further retro style gold features.
The '1869' branding has been updated to include the Saltire, marking Kilmarnock Football Club's distinction of being the oldest professional football club in Scotland.
Smallworld Media, Killie’s main sponsor, again features on the front and reverse of the strip.
There will be a choice of white or blue shorts and socks.
The good news for Killie fans is that prices for the replica tops have been frozen from last year and for those who want to be one step ahead, they will be available to buy from the Killie Shop and from www.killieshop.com before the match on Saturday.
