GALSTON got back to winning ways in their penultimate league match.
The visitors took the lead on 17 minutes when Gemmell had a clear run in on goal. He looked to have lost the chance when the Kilbride defender got back to challenge but as the ball broke, he finished well from outside the box.
United had a chance to double their lead ten minutes later when English was also clear through, but his poor touch allowed the keeper to save.
Galston were well on top during the first period and should have been further in front by half time, but they had to wait until ten minutes into the second half to make it two, as Miller's corner seemed to go straight in, despite the home team's best efforts.
West Kilbride got a goal back when Galston failed to clear a cross, and the Kilbride striker's header looped over everyone into the empty net.
Galston restored their two- goal lead 10 minutes from time when they were awarded a free kick 25 yards from goal, and Denim struck it through the wall and past the stranded keeper.
West Kilbride got a consolation goal with three minutes to go, but it was the best goal of the game. A cross from the right was volleyed into the top corner by the Kilbride midfielder in fine style.
