DISABLED bowler Peter Orr has successfully defended his national title.
The 65-year-old has won gold in the wheelchair section of the Scottish Disability in Sports (SDS) outdoor bowling championships for the second year in a row.
Peter, of Kilmarnock, won by one shot in an extra end of the nail-biting final held at Westburn Park Bowling Club, Aberdeen, last Saturday.
He said: “It was a good game and I was so pleased to win the title for a second year.”
Peter bowls for North Ayrshire Sports Association for the Disabled (NASAD) and trains at Irvine Park Bowling Club.
Last month, Peter did the double in the Marymass disabled bowls competitions, winning both the indoor and outdoor events.
