Bellfield Bowling Club holds mixed triples
ON Saturday, July 19, Bellfield Bowling Club hosted the A I Glass invitation mixed triples. There was a full turnout and the weather was kind.
The winners were: 1 J Reid, D Allen, C Allen (skip); 2 T Collins, G Nimbley, L Robertson (skip); 3 N Pearson, H Harper, A Pearson (skip); 4 A Hewitt, R Mortimer, R O’Neill (skip).
The event was sponsored by Frannie and Marilyn Milligan of A I Glass. The president, committee and members are indebted to them for their generous donation. At night there was dancing to Colours and a great time was had by all.
On Saturday, August 9, the group will be Back to Back. Members and guests welcome. Cover charge is £2, payable by non-members and guests.
On Monday, July 21, the Bellfield ladies pairs beat Irvine Park ladies in the Ayrshire district finals. The winning pair were Jessie Kinghorn and Debbie Allen (skip) who are now through to the inter district final at Hurlford Bowling Club on Monday, August 11.
