Glenfield bowlers in charity fun day

Scott, Jimmy, Suzanne, Esther and Jackie were involved in organising event

GLENFIELD Bowling Club hosted a highly successful charity day recently.

The proceeds went to various cancer charities and support groups, such as Ayrshire Cancer Support, Macmillan Nurses and Cancer Research.

This time the event was organised by Jackie, Suzanne and Marion from ward 2C, Crosshouse Hospital, and supported by the patrons of Kay Park Tavern, bowling club members, and friends.

Gents president Jimmy Lundie co-ordinated the event, and his wife Mima and her team organised the catering.

Many thanks go to all who gave their generous support, and contributed in so many different ways to what turned out to be a very worth-while fun day that was enjoyed by all who took part

Approximately £1700 has been raised to date from this event, and the organisers have other fund-raising events in the pipeline at different venues later this year.

CHARITY CREW: Scott, Jimmy, Suzanne (holding cheque), Esther and Jackie, who, with others, were involved in organising the event at Glenfield Bowling Club.
