Killie stay top of the women’s league with the narrowest of victories away to Glasgow City.
Gillian Lyall opened with an early basket at close range and two early steals from Lyndsey Muir transferred into a quick four points.
Claire McAulay found early jump shot form, scoring three rapid
fire baskets from the free throw line.
Muir and Kirsty McKissock also got on the scoresheet with well-worked baskets as Kilmarnock led 21- 12.
Killie began to tire as the game went on.
In the final quarter, two big three-point baskets from McKissock steadied the nerves but Glasgow got back to within a point, Killie by now only ahead 49-48.
Muir came off the bench to steady the back court.
In the last minute, Glasgow scored but McAulay managed to tip the balance and with a final basket.
