The Wickerman Festival
THE Wickerman Festival organisers have announced that The Charlatans have been added to the headline bill for this July's festival which takes place in Dumfries and Galloway.
The indie band will grace the main stage on the Friday night of the popular family friendly festival. They will join among others, Ocean Colour Scene and The Futureheads.
When asked about his forthcoming Wickerman appearance band front man Tim Burgess said "I'm really excited about playing the Wickerman Festival. Playing in Scotland means everything to me because the Scots are so passionate about music. It makes for a great party atmosphere."
Other new addtions to the festival are Goldie Lookin Chain and Tony Christie.
Glasgow rock band The Raw Kings have also been added to the main stage line-up, while punk legends The Buzzcocks have been added to appear on the scooter tent stage where they will join The Undertones as a headline act.
The DJs of 808 State will play the main stage following the ritual burning of the giant wickerman on the Saturday night in what promises to be a fantastic weekend of music across an array of musical genres.
The Wickerman Festival will take place on July 23 and 24 near Dundrennan.
