Kilmarnock band make it to final of national music contest

ELECTRO pop outfit CircleStop! are looking for your vote ahead of a gig that could change their lives forever.

The Kilmarnock five-piece reached the grand final of the Live and Unsigned 2009 competition which takes place in Portsmouth on Saturday, June 27.

The booked their place with a storming performance at the regional finals in Newcastle last month.

If they win the final, the band will be awarded a management contract, a recording deal and £20,000 to get their careers off to a flyer.

And text voting has already opened so they need all their fans to get behind them.

Synth player Scott Kirkwood, 17, said: “The text voting has started so we hope everyone will vote for us before the final, then it’s up to us to impress the audience down there.

“We are also trying really hard to get a bus for our local fans to come down to Portsmouth to see us. We are hoping someone will sponsor us because we need the support down there.”

To vote for CircleStop!, text ‘UNSIGNED52’ to 84222. Tests cost £1 plus your normal network charge.

If you would be interested in sponsoring some of the cost of the bus for the band’s fans, call Scott on 07854 914063.
