Has Ayrshire got talent?

THE organisers of one of Ayrshire's biggest festivals are looking for local talented youngsters to step forward.

The Marymass festival committee, in partnership with new community radio station Beat FM, is organising a competition to showcase young talent around the county.

This event will be held in heats, then a grand final, and the ultimate winners will perform as the opening act at this year’s Marymass festival in Irvine on Thursday, August 13.

The festival committee would like to hear from any youngsters aged between five and 16 who would like to take part. Contact Louise Condon, co-ordinator for the event, on 01294 317156.

There are some super prizes up for grabs and also a chance to have your own CD made up and given airplay on Beat FM.
