LOCAL lad Liam Dolan has confirmed he’ll be returning to the Palace Theatre later this year.
Liam is set to direct and star in Sleeping Beauty at the Kilmarnock venue over the festive period.
And for funnyman Liam – his onstage antics always have audiences in stitches – his role as Josh the Jester couldn’t be more fitting.
Liam, who hails from Kilmarnock, is delighted he’s on his way back to home territory for the family favourite.
He made his directing debut in last year’s panto, the hugely successful Mother Goose.
And along with Liam making his return, Imagine Theatre, formerly WISH Theatre, are also returning to town to produce the show, bringing their exciting blend of special effects, fantastic costumes and a great story to the stage.
Steve Boden, Imagine’s show producer, said: “All of the team at Imagine are thrilled to be returning to Kilmarnock in December.
“We will actually be producing the next three pantomimes as we are delighted to have been awarded a further three-year contract.
“It’s also great news that Liam is joining us again, both as a lead character but also as director after doing such a brilliant job with Mother Goose.”
Said a happy Liam: “I really enjoyed being part of Mother Goose at the Palace last year and can’t wait for Sleeping Beauty, which will be even bigger and better, this year.”
And, yes, it’s only May folks, but tickets for Sleeping Beauty are already on sale!
