Kilmarnock comedian takes up monthly slot at the Pyramid Club

A YOUNG comedian is set to bring some regular cheer to Kilmarnock.

Local man Billy Kirkwood is the new resident comic at the Pyramid Club’s monthly comedy club which takes place at the West Langlands Street venue on the last Saturday of every month.

This Saturday, April 25, will see Billy host the Lots Of Laugh Comedy Event. He will be joined by a line-up of acts just off the back of sell out shows at the Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival, including head liner Patrick Rolink.

Live music will be provided by local band Good Bad News with Andy K providing support. The show starts at 9pm.

Billy first burst into stand up in 2005 and has quickly established himself as one of Scottish comedy’s best young acts with an ever expanding cult following, thanks to his unique yet slightly surreal style of storytelling, likeable on-stage presence, and energetic onstage performances.

He is widely regarded as a must-see act that leaves audiences sore with laughter.

Billy has also clocked up sell-out shows at the Glasgow and Edinburgh comedy festivals.
