Gargieston learner drivers

BEING a resident of Gargieston I would like to point out that there are too many learner drivers practising in Holmes Road.

More so, they are not aware of the dangers that we face by them practising there.

For instance I have encountered, on three separate occasions, drivers reversing around the corner into the oncoming traffic of Mount Avenue.

I and many others have had to break to stop hitting them.

Why are they reversing onto a main road?

In the dark when they three point turn it is very difficult to see them yet they still do it. I may point out that Holmes Road is the only entrance into our part of the estate and the time we waste waiting on them to practice three point turning is mounting up day by day.

On most days there will be four or more at any point practising in the one road.

I sat one day to wait on a reverse parker, then one reversing around the corner, then a three point turner and would you believe the last one was a bus learning.

Thank goodness he wasn’t practising three point turning!

I have phoned up the actual driving schools to point this out yet they still practice here.

I fear that at some point there will be an accident which could have been avoided. Can they not practice somewhere else?
