MAY I take the chance of replying to “Vile and Bile” namely Mr McCracken Junior and Mr Meechan who in last week’s Standard described me as such.
Firstly Mr Meechan says he was in the armed forces for 31 years and that Labour in the last 10 years had invested huge amounts of money into state-of-the-art equipment.
Well, Mr Meechan, only recently a coroner said that those responsible for the chronic lack of equipment should hang their heads in shame after a British soldier was killed in an Afghan minefield, and in the same incident, three others lost limbs.
This is not the first time this coroner has criticised the MOD for their shortcomings, and this is the man your defence secretary in the past tried to gag.
He also said that Cpl Walker’s death could have been avoided but for the lack of the proper equipment and that Mr Meechan, is a fact!
Now Mr McCracken Junior, it seems that you belong to that dying breed which is New Labour, and are under the misconception that if anyone disagrees with your views politically then they must be an SNP member, well, Mr McCracken, you have got it wrong again.
You see, there are some of us out there who can think and form their own opinions without being part of a political group.
Could you and your comrade explain to myself and the public at large why you continue to support a man who was removed from office by his boss in not one, but two jobs.
Don’t you think that is weird?
