Two charged over pensioner murder

Two people have been charged with the murder of a 65-year-old man on Christmas Day.

George Potts was found dead at an address in Cairnryan village in Dumfries and Galloway on Tuesday, said police.

A 62-year-old man and 55-year-old woman arrested on the day of the death have now been charged by police.

They are due to appear at Stranraer Sheriff Court on Thursday.
