Two arrested over death of man

Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of a man whose body was found at a block of flats.

The body of Dodou Leigh was discovered in a sixth-floor flat in Hawkhill Close in the Leith area of Edinburgh at about 8.15pm on Tuesday.

Police said the 30-year-old had been shot in the abdomen. The victim was a Gambian national who lived in the Meadowbank area of the city, said officers.

Two men, aged 25 and 29, have been arrested and charged in connection with the death, said Lothian and Borders Police.

They are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
