Man held over security van raid

A man has been arrested after a security van raid in a city centre.

Strathclyde Police launched a large operation including the use of a force helicopter after the security van was targeted in Glasgow at 9pm on Thursday.

Staff from the security firm G4S were robbed of a cash cassette on St Vincent Street. No-one was injured in the incident.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and detained in police custody. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
