Blueprint targets NHS care quality

Patients' experiences of the NHS are to be used to measure the quality of care in the health service for the first time, it was announced.

Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon unveiled a new blueprint for improving the care patients receive.

The strategy would "give the people of Scotland a new confidence in their NHS", she said.
