Crazy styles raise cash for Newmilns Nursery
BOYS and girls at Newmilns Nursery held a Crazy Hair Day last week to raise money for the nursery’s funds.
Kids had their hair done up in weird and wonderful styles, including some spectacular spray-painting.
Staff member Lianne O’Neill did a sponsored hair dye too, with an assortment of seven colours. She raised £200.
The children, who donated £1 each to take part, also painted each other’s faces with face-paints, allowing their imaginations to run wild.
Fourteen of the children will leave the nursery for school over the summer, and although applications for new session (August 17) places are rolling in, there are still a few left.
If you haven’t registered your child for nursery yet, ring 07763 568533 or call in to the Morton Hall at 123 Main Street, Newmilns, for an application form between 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.
Staff at the nursery are fully qualified as early years practitioners, one also with an HNC in learning support needs. The nursery is also registered with Scottish social services.
