STRUCTURAL repairs are underway at the bridge on Dunlop Road at Lugton, and will continue until September 18.
These works will be managed by Network Rail and carried out by Carillion Regional Civil Engineering.
Dunlop Road will be closed at the railway bridge on Saturday, July 19, from 8am to Sunday, July 20, at 6pm. On Saturday, July 19, a trial section of the bridge units will take place in the field adjacent to the railway. Once work is completed, the road will be reopened.
This work will ensure the integrity of the structure and reduce the need for some maintenance activity in the future. All measures that are reasonable practicable will be taken to ensure minimal inconvenience and disturbance during these works.
