A SHOPLIFTER stole five times on a single day – on four occasions from same store – Kilmarnock Sheriff Court heard last week.
Paul Brown, 24, of David Dale Avenue, Stewarton, pleaded guilty to stealing two bottles of champagne from the town’s Co-op store on October 27, as well as stealing meat and groceries from Sainsburys during four visits to the shop on the same day.
In addition Brown admitted stealing whisky from the Key Store in Lainshaw Street, Stewarton, on October 27 and 28.
Sentence was deferred until December 15 for social enquiry and community service reports.
