Kilmarnock College sports centre open after swine flu case

KILMARNOCK College’s Townholm sports centre is open again – a week after swine flu was confirmed.

One member of staff has been confirmed as suffering from the virus and is now on the road to recovery.

Last week all other staff were sent home as a precaution.

This week college principal, Heather Dunk, said: “Curriculum staff and students are now on their summer break, however the Townholm campus re-opened on Monday for service staff.

“There have been no further reports of any other members of staff feeling unwell or reporting any flu-like symptoms.

“The member of staff who was the confirmed case is recovering well.”
